Sabrina Carpenter has released the music video for her new single “Please Please Please” — and it stars none other than her boyfriend, Barry Keoghan!
As you might know, the pair supposedly started seeing each other in December, shortly after Barry, 31, ended things with his girlfriend Alyson Sandro, and Sabrina, 25, apparently split from Shawn Mendes.
And now, the pair have kicked things up a notch with Barry starring as the love interest in Sabrina’s new music video, which begins with her locking eyes with him as she’s released from jail while he’s dragged in.
Throughout the music video, directed by Bardia Zeinali, Barry repeatedly gets arrested for a series of incidents — from bank robberies to brutal fights. Sabrina begs him not to get involved with the wrong crowd, looking into his eyes as she sings the chorus: “Please, please, please don't prove I’m right.”
By the end of the music video, Sabrina handcuffs Barry to a chair and tapes his mouth shut. She kisses him before walking away, leaving him alone in an empty warehouse.
Elsewhere in the song, Sabrina sings lines like: “Please, pleasе, please don't bring me to tеars when I just did my makeup so nice / Heartbreak is one thing, my ego's another / I beg you, don't embarrass me, motherfucker,” and, in a direct reference to Barry, “I heard that you're an actor, so act like a stand-up guy.” You can watch the full video for yourself right here.
