Over the weekend, Khloé Kardashian shared a bunch of photos of some of the KarJenner kids’ recent dance recital.

Khloé’s 6-year-old daughter, True, was featured in the post, alongside Kim Kardashian’s daughter Chicago, who is also 6, and Rob Kardashian’s daughter Dream, who is 7.
“My girls had their dance recital yesterday! … They did two dances this year- Ballet and hiphop. I am so so proud of them! They were absolutely perfect,” Khloé wrote on Instagram.
In the photos, the young girls could be seen wearing makeup, including bright red lipstick, which is common at children’s dance recitals.
Seemingly anticipating backlash to the photos, especially given that the KarJenners have been accused of posting heavily filtered and edited pictures of their kids in the past, Khloé went on to explain why True, Dream, and Chicago were wearing makeup.

“Obviously none of our girls wear makeup like this regularly. This was for the recital only. They are beautiful just as they are,” she said.

“Yesterday was super special 🩷 memories for a lifetime,” she added.
Khloé later directly responded to a commenter who suggested that it was “sad” she felt the need to explain why the young girls were wearing makeup at their dance recital.

One user wrote, “It’s sad you even have to specify about the makeup, but I understand why. Gorgeous little dancers!” to which Khloé replied, “It is but people are cray cray. So I had to explain.”
