In the latest episode of The Kardashians, Khloé gets candid about coparenting with her ex, Tristan Thompson, now that he’s moved to Cleveland.
For some quick context, Khloé and Tristan have a friendly relationship as coparents in spite of their messy history — which includes him cheating on her numerous times and secretly fathering a baby with another woman while they were preparing to welcome their second child.
Last year, Tristan even temporarily moved in with Khloé when the roof of his house collapsed shortly after his mom died. The exes no longer live together now, but during this time, Tristan was always around to help look after their two kids, True and Tatum.
But after joining the Cleveland Cavaliers, Tristan was ultimately forced to move away from Khloé and their kids in order to play basketball.
And in this week’s episode of the Hulu series, Khloé reveals that Tristan moving away has been “really healthy” for them.
After confirming that the door is definitely “closed” with Tristan in a romantic sense, Khloé said in a confessional, “I do love that it’s [her and Tristan’s friendship] good for the kids, but now that he’s in Cleveland, this is really, really healthy for us.”
“When Tristan was next door, he still was always over. He was like, ‘I wanna put the kids to sleep,’ like, he loved the routine,” she shared.
Later in the episode, True and Tatum made an appearance while Khloé was getting glammed up — with her hairstylist, Andrew Fitzsimons, revealing that Tatum had kept mistakenly calling him “Dad.”
After Khloé revealed that Andrew had taught Tatum how to say “Guncle” (aka Gay Uncle), Andrew said, “‘Cause he keeps calling me Dad! ‘Cause I guess I look like a basketball player.”
“But I was like, ‘No, Guncle!’ And he literally just goes, ‘Guncle.’ He’s only 1!” Andrew added.
