Last week on The Kardashians, Khloé got extremely candid about how she navigates parenting.
Khloé shares two kids with her ex Tristan Thompson: True, who is 6, and Tatum, who is 1.
Khloé and Tristan split for good a couple of years ago after news broke that he’d secretly fathered a child with another woman outside of their relationship — all while they were preparing to welcome Tatum via surrogate, no less.
However, the exes maintain a close relationship as coparents, with Tristan even temporarily moving in with Khloé last year when the roof of his house collapsed due to extreme weather conditions.
During this time, Tristan — who has regularly appeared in The Kardashians — was super hands-on when it came to looking after their kids.
And in last week’s episode of the Hulu series, Khloé admitted that she was finding things pretty tough on her own.
“He’s a big help when he’s here,” she said of Tristan. “I don’t have nannies at night, which I might have to change or at least have someone be available sometimes.”
“I’m just so hands-on,” she continued. “It’s, like, cool half the time, but I make all of [True’s] lunches, I make her dinners, I do everything.”
Khloé went on to admit, “I don’t let anyone else do it. Tristan has done it, but I’m so particular.”
Fast-forward to this week, and Khloé has admitted that it took her over a year to allow her kids’ nanny to put True to bed at night.
In the latest Kardashians episode, Khloé told her mom, Kris Jenner, that 6-year-old True freaked out when she learned Khloé wouldn’t be putting her to sleep.
“True was like, ‘Who’s gonna put me to sleep?! […] Who’s gonna say my prayers?'” Khloé recalled.
Kris responded, “Maybe if you show me the routine and I memorize it, and practice...” However, Khloé cut her off, replying, “My nanny has been here over a year. This is her first time putting her to sleep, ‘cause I’m such a lunatic.”
In a confessional, Khloé went on to say, “Everyone in my family shames my schedule. Everyone.”
