Nick Cannon Is Being Roasted For Saying That He Wants To Give His 11 Kids “The Opportunity To Connect” With Him This Father’s Day

“A meet & greet with your own children is absolutely insane.”

When it comes to Father’s Day, few men will be as busy as Nick Cannon, who has welcomed a dozen children with six different women over the years.

Speaking to People ahead of Father’s Day this weekend, Nick said that he is excited to use the day to bond with his children, and give them “the opportunity to connect” with him — as well as give him presents.

"It's supposed to be a day where I get to rest,” he told the publication. “But I want to give all my kids the opportunity to connect and give me gifts, and all that type of stuff. It's a fun day and I appreciate all the love that I get on that day."

And Nick’s eyebrow-raising choice of words has caused a stir on social media, with the star being dragged for seemingly referring to a day with his children as some kind of meet and greet.

Reacting to the quote on X, formerly known as Twitter, one viral tweet that has been viewed 12.8 million times and racked up hundreds of thousands of likes and retweets, simply jokes: “he’s doing a meet & greet for his own kids.”

“A meet & greet with your own children is absolutely insane,” somebody else echoed

Another user wrote: “a press day for your own children is wild 😂,” while one more pointed out: “He said opportunity like it's a sweepstakes.”

“‘opportunity’ is a diabolical word to use in reference to allowing your kids to spend time with you,” one more agreed.

Others couldn’t help but joke that Nick’s comments had made the day sound like some kind of game show, with one asking: “Why did I immediately assume this was announcing a reality competition.”

While somebody else shared a photo of Tyra Banks on America’s Next Top Model as they quipped: “‘Twelve wonderful seeds stand before me but I only have six photos in my hands.’"

Here’s hoping Nick’s children make the most of this exciting opportunity!
